The Music of Ink DVD Movie, documents a live art and multimedia performance staged at the 2008 International Conference for Lettering Artists, 'Letters Mingle Souls', Chicago, July 19th-26th 2008. Calligrapher Denis Brown projected movies of his own making, of ink flowing in water and on wet papers, as he simultaneously worked live on large panels totaling 68 feet in length. His performance forms a personal review of the state of the art of calligraphy at a time when handwriting is being eclipsed by technology.
