Abstract
Summarized results are presented of a one-year study of maintenance work on 262 miles of state highway in Connecticut. The study was conducted to obtain basic data on maintenance operations with particular emphasis on time utilization and production rates of labor and equipment. This study yields the data and supporting evidence to: (1) accompany the preparation of the maintenance budget, (2) substantiate requests for meeting needs, and (3) facilitate overall management of the maintenance effort. The detailed summary data relating to time utilization of labor and equipment are presented.
