The Messenger is a timeless and placeless story, a fairy tale, and a film about Mevlana's philosophy . The film tells the tale of the eponymous Messenger İbrahim, a tongue-tied man gone mad, through the eyes and the words of Zekeriya, a storyteller who travels from village to village. As he tells his tale in a village that carries the burden of all the world's sins, Zekeriya causes a revolution.
