Abstract:
The interdisciplinary conference, Human Fertility: Where Faith and Science Meet, was held at the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, on August 11 & 12, 2006. The co-sponsors were the Diocesan Development Program for Natural Family Planning, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Catholic University of America, Schools of Philosophy, and Theology & Religious studies; Georgetown University, the Institute for Reproductive Health; and Marquette University, the Institute for Natural Family Planning. Participants came from across the United States and from Canada. They included: professors of philosophy, theology and history; diocesan Marriage and Family Life directors; diocesan Natural Family Planning (NFP) coordinators and teachers; seminarians; health care professionals and members of the Catholic Medical Association. This volume contains the proceedings of this conference.
