Abstract:
These proceedings contain all the presentations from this international conference which focused on polymer-based materials and fortified composites that meet the specific needs of the oil and gas industry. The conference provided a forum for speakers to showcase new materials and processing technologies that will improve current application performance and open the door to improve or replace existing material selections. Contributions included papers from leading academic contributors who will describe investigation of novel high temperature resistant polymers including PPSs, PAEKs, and LCPs. In the oil and gas application sessions, presentations included discussion of the ever popular PEEK grades from several sources, as well as other important families of polymers in composite structures and alloys, including PPSs and TPUs. Papers which focus on the analysis of corrosion, wear and RGD on high performance materials are also included in these proceedings.
