Abstract:
The main objective of this volume is to present the current understanding of leading researchers, engineers and scientists - from Romania and from around the world - concerning these fields in order to provide a platform from where researchers, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals can present their latest experiences and developmental activities in the mechanical engineering, manufacturing systems, robotics, medical and military fields.Review from Book News Inc.: Researchers, scientists, and engineers share their findings and thoughts regarding optimization in the four areas. Of the 44 papers, 12 were invited, and discuss such aspects as a spherical ultrasonic motor for a pipe inspection robot, machining with image recognition using industrial robots, and the dynamic force-position control of a walking robot's motion on a slope. Other topics include the optimal design of the mechanical component of a photovoltaic tracking mechanism, possibilities for using virtual reality in manufacturing systems, using eye tracking to evaluate human behavior, and analyzing the nonlinear aeroelastic behavior of slender wings using a static stall model based on the Wagner function.
