Abstract:
Thoroughly updated for its Third Edition, Handbook of Headache is a practical, easily accessible guide to the diagnosis and management of headache patients. Geared to both primary care physicians and neurologists, the book presents a systematic approach to diagnosis and offers expert recommendations for treating all types of headaches, including migraine, chronic daily headache, tension and cluster headaches, headache during pregnancy, headache in children, headaches with onset after age 50, headaches caused by HEENT disorders, and pain resulting from head and neck trauma. The book provides complete information on drugs, proper dosing, and side effects and includes patient education resources and alternative therapies. This edition reflects recent changes in the International Classification of Headache disorders and includes treatments using newer migraine medications.
