Abstract:
This book presents the combined proceedings of three workshops which make up part of the 6th International Conference on Intelligent Environments. The remarkable advances in computer sciences throughout the last few decades are already making an impact in our daily lives. This is enabling the provision of intelligent environments; digital environments which proactively support people in their daily lives. This active area of research is attracting an increasing number of professionals worldwide. The first workshop deals with human-centric interfaces for ambient intelligence applications (HCIAmI' 10), and provides a forum for the exchange of recent results in modelling, design and computing methods for human-centric interfaces in ambient intelligent applications. The second addresses artificial intelligence techniques for ambient intelligence (AITAmI'10), and aims to stimulate the development of human-like effectiveness within the artificial systems that provide support to humans, and the third, the Creative Science 2010 workshop (CS'10), is the first in a series of workshops exploring science fiction as a starting point for research into new technologies and consumer products.Exploring the latest developments in key areas for intelligent environments, this volume is a compilation of the latest research, focused on achieving the deployment of intelligent environments in the real world and influencing the way all of us will live in the future.
