Abstract:
The main goal of the book was to gather current knowledge of recent advances in polymer science and technology, the physical characterization and advanced performance attributes of both synthetic and biological polymeric materials. The volume covers six broad topics such as rubber science and technology, composites, textiles, adhesive and coatings, process modelling and simulations, testing and instrumentation. The theme of the conference was Polymer in Automotive and Tyre IndustryPresent and Future Trends and it covered rubber science and technology, composites, textiles, adhesion and coatings, process modeling and simulations, and testing and instrumentation. The 46 papers consider such topics as the cure characteristics and mechanical behavior of natural rubber composite filled with bamboo fiber, the effect of surface modification on the physical properties and morphology of oil palm and rice husk fibers, curing properties of pressure sensitive adhesives cured with ultraviolet light, the effect of epoxidized palm oil on the tensile properties and density of rubber compounds, forming and evaluating avocado oil nanoemulsion hydrogels using sucrose ester laureate, and electrical properties of graphene-filled natural rubber composites.
