Abstract:
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Ubiquitous Intelligence and Computing, UIC 2008, held in Oslo, Norway, in June 2008, co-located with ATC 2008, the 5th International Conference on Autonomic and Trusted Computing. The 27 revised full papers presented together with 2 keynote papers and 1 invited paper were carefully reviewed and selected from 102 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on ubiquitous computing, smart spaces/environments/services, context-aware services and applications, intelligent computing: middleware, models and services, wireless sensor networks, smart objects and embedded computing, wireless networks: routing, mobility and security, ubiquitous computing, smart spaces/environments/services, intelligent computing: middleware, models and services, context-aware services and applications, as well as object identification: techniques and applications.
