Abstract:
The rapid progress of wireless communication and embedded micro-sensing MEMS technologies has made wireless sensor and ad hoc networks possible. A wide range of applications may be developed in healthcare, scientific, aerospace, agricultural, industrial, emergency search-and-rescue, business and military areas. This special issue is dedicated to addressing the key technologies and advances of wireless sensor and ad hoc networks. Six papers are included from open submissions, and three papers are invited selected papers from IEEE International Workshop on Heterogeneous Multi-Hop Wireless and Mobile Networks 2005 (IEEE MHWMN'05), which was held on November 7-11, 2005, Washington DC, USA. All papers were. referred.
