Abstract:
E-government research has flourished as a way of disseminating information and providing services to citizens ever since the popularization of the internet. Although there have been tremendous advancements in the world of e-government, critical evaluations on the effectiveness of such methods have yet to be determined. This book examines the role that citizens play in the development of electronic government or e-government, specifically focusing on the impact of e-government and citizens while exploring issues of policy and management. It focuses not only on the adoption of e-government and its impact on citizens, but also on the effectiveness of this technology as a way of improving citizen access and engagement with their government.
