Abstract:
Data were collected and analyzed with research and historical records to attempt to develop relationships between maintenance cost and various influencing factors for the interstate highway system. 28 test sections were selected within New York, Florida, Ohio, Texas, and California for the intensive study and data collection. Significant variables included in the test sections were terrain, urban and rural areas, regional characteristics, traffic, and climatic conditions.
