Abstract:
A nation's attainment of wealth has long been synonymous with industrialization. In the process of globalization, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and other East Asian countries have become the world's fastest growing economies. The rest of the world now wants a foothold in these newly emerging centres of industrialization. This compilation of Dr Goh's speeches reflects the process of industrialization and the birth of a successful economy. (36 speeches and essays, 1968-94).
